Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines how byLaine handles deposits, cancellations, and project timing for web design, SEO, and content services. My goal is always to be fair, transparent, and flexible — while ensuring the time and care that go into each project are respected.

Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required to begin all projects. The remaining 50% balance is due upon project completion and before launch or final delivery.

Cancellations and Refunds

• If a project is canceled before work has begun, the deposit will be refunded in full.
• If a project is canceled after initial work has begun but before major progress (such as a draft site or first round of content), 25% of the deposit will be refunded.
• Once a draft site, major content milestone, or design structure has been delivered, the deposit is non-refundable.
• No refunds are available after final delivery or project completion.

Revisions and Collaboration

Each project includes up to three (3) rounds of revisions. Revision requests must be clear and specific — for example, “Change the background to green (#0f5132)” or “Update the wording in the About section.” Additional revisions may incur a small, agreed-upon fee.

Project Timing

Standard projects typically take 2–6 weeks, depending on size and communication. Timely responses from clients help keep projects on schedule. Projects paused for more than 30 days without communication may be considered inactive and subject to rescheduling or additional fees.

Flexibility and Fairness

I handle every project with honesty and good faith. If special circumstances arise, I’ll do my best to find a reasonable solution. Special consideration is given to nonprofits and not-for-profits that directly serve or benefit Elkhart County, Michiana, or Northern Indiana.
